The G2 trade war is getting out of hand. The conflict is exacerbating as both countries are imposing more tax on each other each day. Paul Krugman, Professor at City University of New York has warned us of the possibility that the trade war triggered by Donald Trump may reduce the world’s trade volume by two-thirds.
If the size of the world’s trade market decreases, the impact on Korea’s export-oriented economy may be disastrous. How can Korea maintain its economic prosperity despite the unfavorable conditions, sandwiched between the two countries? In this session, global trade policy experts will present their views and insights regarding the trade war and ultimately provide us with the direction and solution.
